Remembering Lupe Ontiveros
I am tremendously saddened by the news of Lupe's passing! I've enjoyed her work throughout the years. She was a great actress and working with her in Selena was an unforgettable experience. She will truly be missed.

I am so saddened to hear that Lupe is no longer with us. I will miss her a lot, I wil never forget how much a good actress she was.I only wish for the best for the family. My prayers go out to the family, and friends. Lupe is in gods hands now. -
How sad to hear that Lupe Ontiveros passed away she was a great actress i enjoyed her in the movie films such as Selena,Mi Familia w/JLo,Our Family Wedding,and The Goonies.We share the same last name.She will be missed. R.I.P may god lead you to his path. -
Lupe Ontiveros portrayed Yolanda Saldívar in the movie Selena! So Lupe was not the one who shot Selena she did look alot like Yolanda but please get your facts straight before you bad mouth her name! RIP Lupe my thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family!!!

It's very sad. I'm astonished to hear this news suddenly,because I think that she was very healthy, never ill. Maybe she died a little bit too young, because I think she could become over ninety years old. My condolence to her family, friends and fans. R.I.P. Lupe Ontiveos

R.I.P LUPE she did not shoot Selena she "portrayed" the one who shot Selena shows what a great actress she was that you still believe it but if that was the case Jennifer (Selena) would not be here either

she did shoot selena, for what ever reason she did. for me she never should of did that, am not 1 to judge that is god job not mine. she did have a pass like we all do. but if god tells us that we have to forgive those who have hurt us then we do. so RIP Lupe my god bless u and your family. -

I met Lupe when she played my daughters abuela on The Brothers Garcia on Nickelodeon. What an amazing woman. She kept us all laughing, and made us Latinos proud to be Latinos. Jennifer may the good memories you have with her fill your heart, I know they will for our family.

We are all broken-hearted. Being around her was always fun...she was one talented & funny actress & activist. Rest in peace Lupe - I know you have all of heaven dancing salsa right now!
