JLoDancers Diary: Meet Gilbert
Gilbert Saldivar (@gilbertsaldivar) got his start in dance during college when he started taking classes and then joined a dance team. From that point, he moved to LA to pursue dance where we ended up meeting back when I did my Puerto Rico special. He's talented and I feel blessed to have him with me on tour! He was so sweet to say this about working together: “I met Jennifer back in 2001 for the Puerto Rico special and instantly I was blown away. I was impressed at the level of professionalism, the hard work that she brings and the energy she brings to the stage. The same way I felt in 2001 is the same way I feel in 2012. It's an amazing experience to share the stage with her."

I would say my son motivates me because he makes me want to do better, to set a good example for him. He motivates me to be the best I can be and that keeps me going! -

He looks like a sweet guy, Im happy that one more person got to fufill their life long dream. There are a lot of things that motivate me to pursue my dreams, one of them being my family. I have 4 other siblings and they aren't all what you call smart except my sister and my youngest brother. My mom is the head of the household and has been working literally 11 years nonstop, I'm only fifteen so she says she got at least 4 more years, but although she has what you can say is a steady paycheck my moms body is deteriorated from working so much. Her back, feet, hands, shoulder, arms, and everyday is something new that hurts. My mom is what motivates me and I will keep on fighting till I can het her out of that job or at least help her with money so she can have a less painful job. So that's what has motivated me to pursue my dreams ever since I can remember. -
