Being cognizant, from personal experience, of what many people live without has provided both of us with a unique understanding of where the disparities in our society are and how important it is for each of us to try to address them - to make a tangible difference.

The number of women and children who live in an environment without access to quality health care or health education is far too great for us to ignore. After the birth of my newborns, whom I realized were receiving fantastic medical care, I also realized that my passion was not to just try to increase the access to healthcare for underserved women and children, but to try to improve the quality of this care for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay."

Univision and Nuyorican productions announce an all-star cast for the Jennifer Lopez produced dramatic mini-series "Como Ama Una Mujer" - Jennifer Lopez's first 1st Spanish-Language TV Project. The five-part dramatic mini-series will debut on the Univision Television Network this fall.

The five episodes will be released on a 2-Disc DVD set on December 18 2008.
